Dress: c/o Tobi / Jean Jacket: Levi's / Shoes: old (similar) /
Earrings: Madewell / Bag: Kate Spade (love this one) / Sunglasses: Karen Walker

When I received this pretty Tobi dress, I knew immediately I wanted to shoot it down by the water. I mean look at those flowers - do they not transport you to a tropical island?? And although we get our "mistake on the lake" names, our waterfront is pretty nice. (I mean, Lebron moved back here from Miami, soooo.) We navigated all the school kids on a field trip to the science center, all the tourists (and natives) taking photos in front of the Cleveland sign, and even one certain Charles Barkley! I love how the blues and greens of the area picked up the print on the dress. Oh and did you see the high neck? I love a high neck!! Like really love, as in I plan on having my wedding dress have a high neck. But don't worry, if the high neck seems too conservative for your summertime escapades, check out that cheeky deep-v back!

If you're quickly getting pumped for the sunny weather and summertime activities, check out Tobi's other sundresses! I'm eyeing this one next, and this one would be a lot of fun for a summertime wedding. I felt so comfortable in my dress - I can see it becoming a summer staple. Which hopefully will motivate me to visit Cleveland's waterfront more often!

I received this dress as a gift from Tobi. All opinions and mad pride for Cleveland are totally my own! Thanks for supporting the brands that support this blog.

Downtown Jumpsuit

Friday, May 19, 2017

Jumpsuit: Old Navy (similar, similar, similar) / Sandals: Madewell (similar, similar) /
Bag: J.W. Anderson / Sunglasses: Ray-Ban / Earrings: J.Crew (similar

While I don't consider myself that short (I'm um, average?) I wasn't convinced I could really wear the cropped leg/culotte trend. Still, when I found this jumpsuit on sale at Old Navy for twelve bucks and thinking it looked like something out of Madewell, I thought I'd give it a go.

Doesn't even matter if I did indeed pull this off, because IT WAS SO HOT yesterday that this was the only thing I could conceive of possibly putting on my body. And a milkshake was the only thing I could possibly put inside my body, so.

Hope you are confidently rocking whatever it is you decided to wear today!

Blush Wrap Dress: Two Ways To Wear

Friday, May 12, 2017

I remember sitting in my dorm room as a sophomore in college and browsing through ttobi.com. I think it was a fairly new site then (or maybe it was just new to me!) and it seemed like it had all the new styles and trends that I'd been seeing everywhere for a great price. The same is still true today! I find their site is easier to navigate than, say, Forever 21 and with a nicer range too.

I wanted to play up the soft blush of this Tobi wrap dress in a few ways. Blush, soft tan, pastel and millennial pink. These sorts of colors seem to be everywhere, and I'm not mad about it. The style of this dress is so flattering (the ties can be adjusted to your desired size!) and perfect for being dressed up or down. Scroll on to see how I did it!

HEAD TO TOE

Dress: c/o Tobi  / Earrings: BaubleBarSunglasses: Madewell
Heels: Tory Burch (similar, similar) / Purse: Pop & Suki

First up - head to toe pink! I love the pastel pink of this dress and I happened to have some items in the same color family that I couldn't wait to pair. These BaubleBar earrings are so fun and these heels were a great thrifted find! I wanted to keep the focus on the dress, and I think doing it up in monochrome worked well. Plus the matching wall didn't hurt!

AMERICANA

Dress: c/o Tobi / Jacket: Levi's / Earrings: Madewell /
Shoes: Aldo / Sunglasses: Karen Walker / Bag: Vintage

This dress was also great for going more casual! Again, I loved that I was able to play on the pale pink with some pops of red. A classic denim jacket, bandana, and hoop earrings made me feel sort of Americana in this look. Of course then my Frida Khalo pin and European bag kind of went in the opposite direction, but c'est la vie! Okay now I'm just getting all mixed up.

Thanks for reading! Now go break out all those pastels!

I kindly received this dress courtesy of Tobi. But all opinions - and blindingly pale legs - are my own!

Summer Ready: Red Dresses and Crochet Swimsuits with Zaful

Wednesday, May 10, 2017

I was excited to see that Zaful has a whole selection of red dresses, as well as a number of fun crocheted swimsuits - which sound comfy and perfectly suited (heh) for all those upcoming summer music festivals! If it's a trend you're not so sure about trying - go for it! Zaful's prices are reasonable so ya might as well take the chance. I also just saw that they have an entire "tropical" section of clothing - um, I'll take all of them, thanks!!

I just recently started buying all the red clothes I could get my hands on! While I've never actively avoided red before, I've certainly had a newfound love for it now. I'm especially loving red for the summer - breezy dresses that are perfect for picnics or as cover-ups for the beach.

GaGa for Gingham

Sunday, May 7, 2017

Instead of wearing all the spring trends all at once, why not wear one spring trend all over? Go head to toe gingham. Or ya know, don't, but at least pick up one of these classic pieces to put a spring in your step!

When Your Camera Dies Halfway Through

Thursday, May 4, 2017

Top: Topshop (similar, similar) / Pants: Zara (in stores, similar) /
Shoes: Aldo / Earrings: J.Crew / Bag: J.W. Anderson

So my sweet dad had a great suggestion when I mentioned to him that I needed to get back to doing outfit photos. We planned on going to the nature reserve and doing a whole thing but the weather had other plans. So instead my dad suggested I bring a whole slew of outfits to shoot at the art museum! I'm envisioning all these great photos as I'm packing different clothing into a bag and waiting for my camera battery to charge. Hm. Weird. It's not charging. Whatever, it'll be fine.

As you can guess, it wasn't fine. We got that first photo and then my camera died with that little fart noise (at least it did in my head). So we pulled out the ole camera phone and finished the job. At least they're, ya know, colorful? Oh well. Try again tomorrow!
