Not that I'm not always on the lookout for hair inspiration, but this time happened to come when I was catching up on Pretty Little Liars (WHO is Charles???? Girls pls be safe). Aria has had some interesting hairstyles in the past, but I'm absolutely in love with her new short, choppy waves (even if they were done at the hand of a crazy serial killer). And since I've been in Atlanta, I've been wanting to chop my hair to make it cooler for the summer. I haven't had short hair in a few years now, but I think I'm ready to switch things up a bit! Now if only I get something along the lines of these lovely looks below...

Hi all!
As my training comes to a close (less than two weeks!), I'm beginning to shift my thinking homewards. While I've been away, my room has started transforming! Our whole house is getting an update, actually, and my parents were kind enough to let me pick out how I'd like to do my room anew.
Here's some inspiration I've been leaning on:

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Half-way day!!
Blush and nude have been on my mind. I just ordered a pair of blush pants and now I'm itching for a matching blazer, bag, and shoes! And then it escalated when I saw someone in the dining hall wearing those gorgeous Jeffrey Campbell heels from Need Supply. Of course they are sold out in my size, but don't worry I sent enough emails to customer service for them to think I'm a crazy shoe hoarder ( And while I know I'm blessed to have so many beautiful purses, this whole teacher thing is hard on my back (and my shoulders and my neck) and so a backpack might be the way to go. A stylish, go-with-everything backpack, that is.

Happy Friday ya'll! (And yes I've been saying that a lot considering I've only been in Atlanta two weeks). I have already had great food, gone shopping, and watched Netflix today so I am doing great

Since I knew I'd be caught up intense training, I didn't bring my camera to Atlanta (although the city is so nice so I'm a bit regretting that). And although my professional wear is on point if I do say so myself, I have to rely on some old snaps to fill up the blog. So here's my contribution to Flashback Friday - originally supposed to be Throwback Thursday but I worked for like five hours straight last night so that didn't happen. This was taken one week before I graduated, I think. Summer was in full spring and I was already beginning to say goodbye to people on campus. Hence the friendship photos below. So the nostalgia is trickling in all over this post.

Actually, no. It's just because we were all wearing similar colors.

(Kidding. But that certainly didn't hurt.)

Wishing I could transport myself back to this day...not only because I loved this outfit and I love this museum (MOCA is the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland) but mainly because it was cool. I'm in Atlanta right now and I can tell you one thing: it is not cool. It is sweat dripping down your knees, don't bother styling your hair hot. Don't get me wrong, this city is amazing and the reason I'm here is important*, but I am not a hot-weather girl. I am a air conditioning and milkshake girl.

Although all of these pieces are versatile and more importantly, comfortable, I only brought half of this outfit with me to Georgia. The sunglasses are a must (I'm sorry, I just have to say again, and I don't mean to come off as a braggy, but. Karen Walkers on my face. Ok. Thanks for your time and patience.) because, again: Georgia. In June. And I also brought the sandals because they are literally cushioned and your feet feel happy in them and I love them. Love you, shoes xoxo me. Not sure why I didn't bring the dress (kind of regretting it now). And the purse, while GORGEOUS and I'm OBSESSED and THANK YOU MOM, felt too new and nice to sit in my dorm room and watch me leave it behind every day while I went to my job which basically requires a duffel bag for how much stuff I need. But I look forward to reuniting with it soon. Oh, and my friends and family, too.

*I'm currently training to be a teacher with Teach For America!
