Dress: Loft (sold out, similar) / Jacket: Forever 21 / Boots: Steve Madden / Bag: thanks to Tia (similar)

Had some fun playing around with this exhibit at the Columbus Museum of Art. It contains Instagram photos from all around the world - the first photography exhibit of its kind. And since so many galleries prohibit you taking photos, much less having a mini-photoshoot, I just had to take advantage.

This was another birthday look of mine, and once again it features another Loft dresses. I swear, theirs are the softest I've ever worn. So comfortable. And Loft is always having great sales so pop on over to see what's up! (This is obviously not a sponsored post, I just really love Loft.) Plus it's great for layering! Which is a necessity if, ya know, you live in a place that is winter three-fourths of the year.

Thanks for reading!

Necklace: NordstromShoes: Topshop / Bag: Kate Spade Saturday (thanks to Sarah!) (love this one)

Good things come in threes - and in silver chrome, apparently.

Just a quick post today to show off some shiny new things - okay so you've seen the shoes before and technically I got that necklace last month but the purse is new and it matched too perfectly not to pair it up! A big HUGE thank you to my bff Sarah for this lovely birthday gift. A chrome tote with a classic brown buckle? YES PLEASE!

Also new in is, if you haven't guessed, my blog layout! I finally treated myself to a more professional layout - a lil bithday gift to myself. I'm hoping dropping a few bucks on a nice look for my blog will motivate me to continue on with it. Not that I have any intentions of stopping, just sometimes I kind of lag behind. But no more! (she says, somewhat optimistically).

Anyway thanks for reading and thanks again to all those who helped me celebrate my birthday!
Much love xoxo

Dress: Loft / Sweater (underneath): C. Wonder / Boots: Steve Madden (similar) / Lipstick: Topshop

Last weekend was Valentine's Day (who cares) but this weekend was my birthday! Friday, to be exact. And although it was a snowy mess of a day my lovely parents came down to take me to the "big city" (aka Columbus) where we ate delicious food, napped, and went to an art museum. A near perfect way to spend my birthday.

This dress from Loft is maybe one of the comfiest things I own. But even on its own it wasn't enough to battle Ohio in the winter so I did some master layering. Oh yes friends - those are not tights. Those are fleece-lined leggings. With heavy socks. And heavier boots. But hey, throw on a sparkly collar and some lipstick and I don't look worse for the wear, do I? Take that, snowpocalypse.

And thanks again to all my friends and family who helped make this birthday so amazing. xoxoxo

Dress: Zara (A/W 14, similar, similar) / Necklace: Nordstrom / Heels: Topshop
Cuff: Madewell (similar) / Clutch: Kate Spade (thanks to Sarah!!) (love this color too) Lipstick: Clinique Matte Crimson

Tricking you a bit here - this is not actually a Valentine's look and anyway we're past Valentine's Day already. My school luckily throws a fancy party for all the graduating seniors and so I happily got on my fanciest duds. The necklace and shoes were actually ordered specifically for this fling (thanks mom!!) and I couldn't be more obsessed with either. The shoes...I've been craving metallic silver heels and of course I could count on Topshop to deliver. I'll admit they were killer to wear for the first time (shout to all my friends who helped me walk...) but I already can't wait to wear them again. And this Zara dress is lovely, so light and elegant. I should have gotten a photo of the back - it dips down into a sharp V. Nice one on that, Zara.

Anyway I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and a lovely Valentine's! I myself got Chipotle and saw the Spongebob movie with my buds so you can all count on the fact that my Valentine's Day was bangin'.

Much love and stay warm!!

Some pastel colors for your Galentine's Day/Valentine's Eve. How fun is this shoot by Fashion Gone Rogue? I love the mix of the eighteenth century wallpaper, twentieth century setups, and the ultramodern concept. Its title, Macaroons, is so fitting!

Sweater: Zara, old (similar) / Blouse: Madewell, last year / Jeans: Topshop / Lipstick: Topshop 'Inhibition'

Hi all,

Not sure why it took me so long to pair these two pieces together - I think they're an obvious fit. And anything that lets me wear dark lipstick is a must-wear.

A quick post today because 1) I'm buried under a mountain of work (looking at you James Joyce), 2) it's incredibly dreary out and I don't want to do anything that requires me to leave my bed, and 3) wouldn't you know it I just don't have much to say! Hope everyone is staying warm!
