Leather Jacket: Urban Outfitters (similar here, here) / Ohio Tee: Made by my friend Rachel!
Necklace: Topshop / Jeans: Forever21 / Cat Shoes: Jon Josef / Lipstick: MAC Relentlessly Red / Shades: Ray-Ban

So I'm leaving England quite soon. Cleaning out my room as I write this, trying to get all the last minute things done. I know I only started this blog in January, but I've been studying in England since September, so it's been quite a ride. The year has gone by unbelievably quickly - I feel like I'm back in freshers week, just moving in! But I'm also pretty ready to be home again, see everyone and just unwind for a bit. I feel a bit stuck in the moment, so I can't quite properly express how I'm feeling now, if that makes sense?

Had to do the last photoshoot on the cathedral green of course. Right after tea, obviously. My entire wardrobe is pretty much all packed in space bags right now (don't even want to talk about how many suitcases that is...uh...) so it was kind of a scramble to find clothes left to wear. Luckily I hadn't yet packed this tee that my friend Rachel made me for Christmas (thanks bud!!). Look at those typography skills. And v-neck shirts are the reason I sought out that angular Topshop necklace, so win-win!

I hope everyone had a lovely and safe Memorial Day Weekend in the States! Here's to a long next few days of traveling, but I cannot wait to be back home. Thanks to all the friends I've made in England for making my time here that much more special. Hit me up if you guys make to America, yeah? And to my friends and family in Ohio - I'm comin' for ya!

Much love xx

Denim Jacket: Levi's / Dress: OASAP / Shoes: Matt Bernson / Sunglasses: Madewell / Purse: Vintage Chanel / Flower Crown: Royal Shakespeare Company (haha yeah...but you can find a ton on etsy!)

Here are some photos from a mini-photoshoot I did with my friend Carolyn (thank you, girl!). I was too windy to be wearing this, but I couldn't wait to show off some new purchases. I caved and bought this bee dress finally, since anything and everything to do with bees must be in my closet (gift/curse of having the nickname JuJuBee!). Then to add even more whimsy they were selling these flower crowns at the RSC in Stratford (for who knows what reason, Henry IV certainly wasn't wearing any flower crowns, I'll tell ya that). Well throw it all together (weather-be-damned denim jacket included) and you get a look that is BEGGING spring to get here.
No. Seriously, spring. GET. HERE.

Anyway! Hope everyone's having a great week!

"Nothing But A Miracle" - Diane Birch

Velvet blazers, flowy Bohemian and Brooklyn vibes, vintage finds...oh and hats, hats, hats! I've been a fan of Diane Birch's musically for a while now (definitely check out her first album Bible Belt and her newest, Speak A Little Louder) but two years ago, when I bought my first hat (can you believe it took me that long?) did I really crave her style. Diane gives me the courage to rock the hat and any other menswear looks plus she makes me really want bangs again. And you know I love anyone who can kill it in the red lipstick game.

Leather Jacket: Urban Outfitters, old (similar here, here) / Sweater: Nordstrom, sold out (try other fox sweaters here) / Jeans: Topshop Leigh / Shoes: Keds

The traveling didn't stop as we headed to Stratford for Easter weekend to see some shows. It was absolutely beautiful there, just the tiniest bit chilly, but flowers were blooming everywhere and it was a lovely place to be in for Easter. Plus we visited The Creaky Cauldron which was like a mini-Harry Potter experience and got free chocolate so nice weekend, yeah?

Note that I don't consider myself that cool (I'm wearing a giant cartoon fox sweater...), but wearing a leather jacket and sunglasses in front of the classic telephone booth tends to force that vibe on ya. Especially with a motorcycle whizzing behind you, thanks dude!

Bit of an obvious one here, but there's a reason Alexa Chung is on everyone's fashion radar. Even before coming to England, I saw my style as fitting in with the Brits more so than the Americans (seriously, what even is 'American' style? I'm just picturing lots of denim and festival-style outfits). Lots of black, a bit understated sometimes, but always, always, just exuding cool. And Alexa can go from 'don't mess with me I'm wearing all leather and killer red lipstick' to scalloped hems and peter pan collars. The dream, right?

school days / off to scotland!

Coat: Thrifted / Cardigan: Vintage

Hi everyone! Just a quick post amidst my hurried packing as I leave for Scotland!
I call this my awkward little boy has his first day of school getup. Chin up, oversized coat on, ready to conquer the world! Kind of. Anyway, we (fellow American students, hence the feeling of a school field trip) will be traveling all over Scotland for the next two weeks so once again I've set up a queue of posts while I'm gone.
I admit the thought of living out of a suitcase again so soon and the large amount of traveling ahead is daunting, coming off of the spring break I've had! But I know I am so lucky to have all these opportunities to see and learn about such extraordinary places. Hopefully lots of exciting photos to come!

Have a lovely few weeks! Much love xx
