Blouse: Vince Camuto / Skort: Primark (similar here, here, or here) / Sandals: Primark / Shades: Ray-Ban
Outfit photos thanks to Rekha!

 Hi everyone!
Moving from Austria to Greece here in the form of a sweet little coastal town called Parikia in Paros. Paros was sandwiched between trips to Athens and Santorini but I gotta say that this island was my favorite. It's small and sleepy (although we were there pretty early in the season), full of great food and colonies of cats (which might sound off-putting to some but was a delight for me!). The sun is not always my friend (thank you translucent skin) but I was excited to hit up the beach for some lazy time and then dress up a little for our dinners. I bought this skort and sandals at Primark the day before we left and while the shoes didn't quite survive all the cross-European trekking, this skort I'm sure will become a summer favorite of mine.

I admit it's kind of hard to write this post now, cooped up in my bed and trying to write a bunch of essays. Doesn't help that the weather now is reminding me of Greece too! Only a few more weeks left of the term though, so let's all push through, yeah? We can do it. (Or, if you're like me and you're procrastinating, at least you can procrastinate with pretty photos, yes?)

Have a great day, everybody. Much love!

Admiring one of my favorite pieces by Raphael.

This car was parked here everyday we were in Vienna. No idea what it's for, but I certainly support its message!

And last, the famous ferris wheel of Vienna. The one that's in The Third Man with Joseph Cotten and Orson Welles!

Here are just a few snaps of my time in Vienna. It's one of the more cosmopolitan cities I've been to, a bit like Berlin with its tree-lined main streets and lots of young people zipping by on bikes. Beautiful architecture everywhere and home to some of my very favorite artists (Egon Schiele...sigh), so I definitely recommend vising the museums, which are all conveniently in one place called the Museumplatz! Or take a horse and buggy ride to see all the main sights in this neat and pretty city.

Hope everyone's weeks are going well so far! Happy almost Friday.

Chambray: J.Crew / Skirt: H&M / Sneakers: Superga / Shades: Ray-Ban

Hi everyone! Hope you had a happy and blessed Easter weekend, if you celebrate.

Here are a few more photos from my visit to Prague. One of the main things I really loved about the city was its layout - it is so easy to walk anywhere and be in distance of attractions and sites. These photos were taken in Old Town Square, which is pretty much as it sounds - used to be a gathering and trading place, now has museums and food stands and fountains. It also has the world's oldest (and still working!) clock tower that not only tells you the time but the lunar cycle as well. Plus it's got these cool-creepy figures on the side that watch you and judge you. The Tim Burton exhibit that was going on definitely fit in with that side!

A bit about the outfit - I'm forever wary of blue and black together. One of those weird color combinations that it seems only runways and "real" fashion bloggers can get away with, right? Especially dark blues, I just can't quite wear them in good conscience (or confidence). But one of the things about traveling to places with different climates it the lack of suitcase space for getting free reign with outfits. So I tried to justify it with sticking with basics like chambray and interrupting it with the belt. Plus my Superga sneaks fit the whole walking everywhere bill.

Thanks for reading! Happy Monday! xx

Sweater: J.Crew (old, sold out) / Jeans: Urban Outfitters / Loafers: Zara / Sunglasses: Madewell

Hello everyone! Hope you've been having a nice couple of weeks!

I've just come back from a whirlwind of traveling around Europe with friends and family. I'm so lucky to have been able to see amazing places and eat wonderful food with some of my favorite people. My parents met me in Prague, a city I've always been curious about. Although I was mostly excited for its museums (which were all CLOSED, lame) just walking around the city proved beautiful too! It's got an old town feel, with cobblestone roads and pastel colored buildings and I was absolutely enchanted. Would definitely go back, if only for their homemade pastries (trdelník might be my new favorite treat).

More on my travels later! Happy Wednesday, everyone. Much love xx

what to wear today / denim jacket

Saturday, April 12, 2014

01 / 02 / 03 / 04 / 05 / 06

I can't even remember buying a denim jacket - I've just always had one. Sign of classic, right? Another transition piece here, guys. From grunge to festival style, from toning down fancy dresses to completing a tomboy look, a denim jacket is simply the piece.

I'm still traversing Europe right now, but I can't wait to check back in soon! Hope everyone is have a great day. Much love xx

craving / stripes

Monday, April 7, 2014

1: Madewell / 2: J.Crew / 3: Modcloth / 4: Modcloth / 5: Forever 21 (looove this one!) / 6: Madewell (on sale!)
7: Modcloth / 8: Topshop / 9: Forever 21 / 10: Modcloth

A universal crowd-pleaser, wouldn't you say? Stripes can be a neutral, the focus point, or the helpful dose of Parisian chic to you outfit. Stripes are probably the most predominant feature of my closet, but I can't help always gravitating to more of them when shopping (or in this case browsing...on all your behalf...this no-shopping rule just got harder thanks to that striped moto jacket! Must resist.)

Hope everyone is doing well! I'm still traveling from one European city to the next (eeep!).
Thanks for reading xx

what to wear today / maxi skirt

Wednesday, April 2, 2014

01 / 02 / 03 / 04 / 05 / 06

As spring/summer roll around (finally!) I find myself drifting towards maxi skirts. I'll be honest and say I was not a fan of the maxi for a very long time, but last year I came around. I still have difficulty finding enough ways to style my maxi skirt though, so I compiled some inspiration.
What are your favorite ways to wear the maxi trend?
